I think my neighbour is subletting their home – what do I do?

If you think a neighbour is letting out their home or is renting out beds or rooms to extra people without permission, please tell us. This includes properties being used for holiday lets, for example Airbnb.

Tenants who sublet their home without permission could be denying a home to people who really need one.

Subletting might be happening if:

  • People are moving in and out of a property more often than normal

  • There seem to be a lot of people living in a property

  • You see someone collecting rent from neighbours

  • Neighbours don’t know when the rubbish is collected

If you see any of these signs, please let us know.
